What is DCM?

DCM stands for the initials
of Dialogue, Understanding, and Improvement.

It is a competency-based analysis model that helps us identify where we are focusing our behavior in our studies... knowing that there are 3 major poles of our behavior:

"Our internal focus, the focus that is directed towards others, and the focus that is directed towards the context, towards the external..."

It allows us to become aware of the intensity with which we engage with each focus... it doesn't analyze to perpetuate... it analyzes to become aware of the point we are at and to help us move in the right direction.

Research and Experience

DCM is the result of over 22 years of work with diverse organizations, researching and identifying the key competencies upon which success in studies and the professional field depends.

The current DCM model, geared towards the academic world, has been developed after identifying behaviors of hundreds of students who achieved excellent academic results over several years.

Throughout this time, our model has been featured on the cover of the specialized magazine "Capital Humano" and has been the subject of a doctoral thesis.

The model is fully detailed in the book "La persona en el centro del desarrollo organizacional", which drew the interest of Televisión Española and was featured on "Aventura del Saber".

The essence of the model can also be found in an interview conducted by the Universidad Cristóbal Colón de Veracruz (Mexico).

In recent years, DCM continues to be the subject of research by scholars from the University of Zaragoza (Spain), the University of Mondragón (Spain), and the Universidad Cristóbal Colón (Veracruz, Mexico). Their findings have led to several presentations at international conferences, such as the examples linked to their publications: example 1 and example 2; as well as a book chapter and a scientific article in an indexed journal.
